Crisis Socialism: No Bailouts for Open Borders Globalists!

Crisis Socialism: No Bailouts for Open Borders Globalists!

No. No. No. No. No. The answer from the American people across the political spectrum to the airline industry’s plea for a $50 billion taxpayer-subsidized bailout in the Age of WuFlu must be “Hell, no!” times 50 billion.

Why should working-class American citizens being laid off from restaurants, bars, grocery stores, ports, gyms, entry-level service jobs and gig economy contracts rescue one of the beltway swamp’s most powerful corporate lobbies — backed by the planet’s third-richest mogul, Warren Buffett, whose Berkshire Hathaway multinational holding company owns massive stakes in American Airlines, Delta, Southwest and United?

Reminder: Berkshire Hathaway walked away with $10 billion after the 2012 AIG publicly funded bailout. How much more in private wealth will Bailout Buffett reap from a federal flight fright freakout? This exploitative campaign to “stabilize” U.S. passenger carriers is about shoring up globalist profits, not patriotism.

After the aviation industry’s last $15 billion shakedown of taxpayers following the 9/11 terrorist attacks (a hefty combo of direct cash assistance and loan guarantees plus civil liability protection), airline stocks soared as oil prices plummeted, carriers crammed more passengers into tinier seats and customers faced new and higher charges on everything from carry-on baggage to Wi-Fi to peanuts. High-flying American, JetBlue, United and Southwest splurged on megastock buybacks and dividend hikes for shareholders. In fact, Bloomberg News reported that the top airlines plowed 96% of their free cash flow over the last decade on buybacks.

Now, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin is playing the world’s smallest violin, crying that the COVID-19 pandemic “is worse than 9/11” for an airline industry unprepared for catastrophic disruption. Well, boo-hoo-hoo. Or I should say: Wu-hoo-hoo. If 9/11 wasn’t enough of an incentive to plan ahead and crisis-proof their companies, then these big biz beggars deserve to fail.

Don’t misunderstand. My heart is with the 1 million employees who work in aviation. If this bailout were meant to take care of workers vital to the U.S. economy, then take the proposed $50 billion, divide it by 1 million, and cut $50,000 checks for each of them and their families. Instead, key Beltway GOP leaders are lining up to help shepherd through $29 billion in federal grants for both passenger and cargo carriers, plus a reported $29 billion in zero-interest loans or loan guarantees, and suspension of federal excise taxes on fuel, cargo and airline tickets for an undetermined period.

Weird. Wasn’t it just a few weeks ago that all these “limited government” Republicans in the House, Senate, Trump cabinet and conservative media were up on stage at the “Conservative” Political Action Conference performing conga-line warnings about the scourge of Bernie Sanders-style interventions in the capitalist marketplace?

Will even a single Turning Point USA college kid clad in his “SOCIALISM SUCKS” T-shirt be protesting this handout hysteria on the capitol steps?

Compounding this rank ideological hypocrisy is the repugnant idea of rewarding companies whose CEOs have adamantly opposed President Obama Trump’s attempts to enforce our borders and limit mass migration precisely for the national security and public health consequences we are all now suffering.

Take United’s Mexican-American CEO Oscar Munoz, who has repeatedly bashed the southern border wall expansion because he opposes “any wall, anywhere, between any people — period.” Munoz further called the Trump travel ban from dangerous countries “damning and damaging” to his business because “diversity” is what makes our country “great.”

Meanwhile, Dallas-based Southwest Airlines joined Uber, Amazon, Verizon and other social justice companies in opposing a lawsuit by the state of Texas to end Barack Obama’s executive amnesty and work permits for 800,000 illegal immigrant “DREAMers.”

Southwest, American, Frontier, United, Alaskan and Spirit all piled on the Trump White House after the manufactured illegal immigrant family separation outrage — joining together to refuse cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents doing their jobs and deporting minors here illegally (untold numbers of them smuggled by coyotes or part of violent gangs of predators like the MS-13 “youths” who have hijacked American public schools across the country).

If “Hire American” is one of the Trump administration’s official policies, and American self-reliance is the post-Wuhan rallying cry, why are we rushing to fork over billions of dollars from hard-hit citizens to airlines that have been at the forefront of outsourcing American jobs to offshore repair centers in South America and China and IT outsourcers and offshorers in India?

Oh, and it doesn’t help that this airline bailout blitz is spearheaded by left-wing executives at United and Delta, which demonized American gun owners in 2018 after the Parkland High school shooting massacre by cutting ties with the National Rifle Association. American Airlines flew its own virtue-signaling freak flag last month, publicly condemning Tennessee’s transgender bathroom bills protecting the public safety of women and children, while JetBlue and United have promoted drag queen flights and brunches. Priorities!

I voted for Trump because he ran on “America First,” not “American Airlines First.” We had enough crisis socialism under the Bush and Obama years. Time to tell the aviation bailout buzzards to go fly a kite.

CDC: Centers for Damaged Credibility

CDC: Centers for Damaged Credibility

I think I’m where most sane people are on the coronavirus outbreak:

—Concerned but not panicked.

—Calm but not apathetic.

—Taking reasonable precautions but remaining skeptical of what all the purportedly “best experts” here in the United States are telling us about every aspect of their belated crisis management and response (especially on their pimping of vaccine development to prevent the disease).

Here are some plain, nonhysterical facts: The U.S. Centers for Disease Control is a bloated federal government agency with a long history of incompetence, fraud, secrecy, mission creep and shady alliances with both social justice causes on the left and private corporations on the big business right. The “deep state” of entrenched bureaucrats embedded in the Beltway bowels is alive and thriving at the CDC. The unelected elites who’ve occupied top offices at the public health-industrial complex are hostile to public scrutiny while clamoring for ever-ballooning budgets. Their recommendations have often been detrimental to citizens’ well-being and freedom.

And, yes, many of the scientists who work there are rabidly anti-conservative and anti-Trump.

d Feedback
It’s a brazen lie that President Donald Trump “slashed” CDC funding, which is being used as an excuse for the agency’s coronavirus unpreparedness. Cognitively impaired and truth-challenged Joe Biden made the claim during last week’s Democratic debate that these purported “Draconian cuts” put Americans at risk. But Trump’s budget proposal to cut some sliver of CDC fat has never been enacted, and Congress increased funding, instead.

At nearly $7 billion, CDC’s annual budget is more than 200% larger than it was two decades ago. On top of that, a shady big business lobbying group called Corporate Friends of CDC has raised hundreds of millions of supplemental dollars — which raises serious conflict-of-interest issues. In 2007, Sen. Tom Coburn’s fiscal audit of the agency discovered vulgar expenditures including CDC syphilis prevention funds spent to host a “safe-sex” event with a porn star, CDC HIV/AIDS prevention funds spent on a transgender beauty pageant, and $45 million in CDC funding spent on conferences featuring prostitutes, protests and beach parties.

Despite the flood of money, the agency been caught flat-footed on outbreak after outbreak. They squander untold millions on other health threats in favor of pushing gun control and nanny state hobby horses (TV violence, helmet laws, video games, anti-bullying campaigns and explicit sex education, for example). CDC has one primary job — Disease Control — but has managed to botch it without ever learning from past failures. Let me remind you of some of the CDC’s long history of royal screw-ups:

—The notorious 1976 swine flu vaccine scandal was catalyzed by mass hysteria whipped up by CDC junk scientists clamoring for more money; Congress obliged and nearly 45 million Americans were unnecessarily jabbed with a vaccine for a disease that had fizzled by the time the shots were ready. The vaccine resulted in an increased risk of developing Guillain-Barre syndrome — leading to muscle weakness and paralysis.

Ad Feedback
—In 1999, the CDC misspent $22.7 million appropriated for chronic fatigue syndrome and was investigated in 2001 for squandering $13 million on hepatitis C research.

—In 2000, the agency essentially lied to Congress about how it spent up to $7.5 million earmarked each year since 1993 for research on the deadly hantavirus. “Instead, apparently without asking Congress, the CDC spent much of the money on other programs that the agency thought needed the funds more,” The Washington Post disclosed at the time. The diversions were impossible to trace because of shoddy CDC bookkeeping practices.

—In 2009, the CDC recalled 800,000 doses of swine flu vaccine for children ages 6 months to 3 years after the products manufactured by Sanofi Pasteur failed potency tests.

—In 2012, the CDC’s main building housing infectious anthrax, SARS and monkeypox gases was discovered to have been leaking deadly pathogens due to a flawed engineered airflow system.

—In 2014, the CDC’s lackadaisical response to Ebola virus gave the greenlight to Patient Zero Thomas Eric Duncan and infected medical personnel to board commercial airlines while ill — exposing untold numbers of travelers to the deadly disease. Expensive isolation chambers that had been subsidized by taxpayers to the tune of $15 million sat buried in a Georgia warehouse.

—For the past few years, the agency has employed a fear campaign to induce Americans to get regular flu shots (formulated based on guesswork) using flawed statistics and despite international scientific conclusions that there is “no evidence” to support the CDC’s assumptions that the vaccine reduces transmission of the virus or the risk of potentially deadly complications.

—Just this week, the Informed Consent Action Network reported astonishing results from its lawsuit against the CDC to obtain scientific documentation for the agency’s claim that “vaccines do not cause autism” — specifically for the first seven vaccines given to your child in their first six months of life. CDC had stonewalled, and then finally produced 20 studies — 18 of which were irrelevant to ICAN’s public records request and two of which suggest that vaccines may indeed cause autism. In other words: The CDC is lying while continuing to smear vaccine critics as “conspiracy theorists” and public health threats.

As if to underscore my point about this agency’s misdirected priorities and rank political pandering, the CDC director this week found it more urgent to condemn Republicans as racist for accurately describing the origins of the virus from Wuhan, China, than to do his job.

Informed diagnosis: The “best people” — who have now been rewarded with more than $8.3 billion in new “emergency funding” — are not in charge.

What part of NO AMNESTY doesn’t D.C. understand?

The rumblings from the Beltway are ominous, my fellow Americans. As the U.S. Supreme Court prepares to rule on President Donald Trump’s termination of the Obama administration amnesty and work permits for 800,000 young illegal immigrants sometime between now and June 2020, all the usual open borders special interests are lobbying for a “DACA deal” in Congress.

I am hearing that big business and big tech are pressuring the White House to attach a mass illegal immigrant pardon to Jared Kushner’s so-called immigration reform plan, which would tinker here and there with tighter enforcement but ultimately maintain (or even increase) the yearly allotment of 1 million annual green cards to satisfy the Chamber of Commerce and Mick Mulvaney’s insatiable appetite for more cheap foreign workers.

Let me make this crystal clear: An amnesty for DREAMERs is a total nonstarter. This is not just a deal killer. It’s a reelection killer. Whoever is whispering in Trump’s ear needs to be shoved aside, tied to an anvil and dumped in the Potomac.

The libertarian Koch-funded LIBRE Initiative, Americans for Prosperity and Apple CEO Tim Cook are at the forefront of pushing the DACA deal. Supposedly, conservative members of Congress are also cooking up ways to allow Obama’s DACA recipients to stay, including GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley, whose Secure and Succeed Act promises a “pathway to citizenship” for those 800,000 immigrants here illegally. It’s backed by 39 other Republicans.

Enough is enough. I will repeat what I’ve repeated over the past two decades of amnesty betrayals of the American people:

Amnesty begets more amnesty.

Since the Reagan administration, there have been seven illegal immigrant amnesties passed into law since 1986:

—The 1986 Immigration and Reform Control Act blanket amnesty for an estimated 2.7 million illegal immigrants.

—1994: The “Section 245(i)” temporary rolling amnesty for 578,000 illegal immigrants.

—1997: Extension of the Section 245(i) amnesty.

—1997: The Nicaraguan Adjustment and Central American Relief Act for nearly one million illegal immigrants from Central America.

—1998: The Haitian Refugee Immigration Fairness Act amnesty for 125,000 illegal immigrants from Haiti.

—2000: Extension of amnesty for some 400,000 illegal immigrants who claimed eligibility under the 1986 act.

—2000: The Legal Immigration Family Equity Act, which included a restoration of the rolling Section 245(i) amnesty for 900,000 illegal immigrants.

And, of course, most recently, the Trump administration buried an amnesty for thousands of Liberian illegal immigrants in the latest 2020 National Defense Authorization Act — championed by Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar.

Not one of those amnesties was associated with a decline in illegal immigration. On the contrary, the number of illegal immigrants in the U.S. has tripled since President Reagan signed the first amnesty in 1986. The total effect of the amnesties was even larger because relatives later joined amnesty recipients, and this number was multiplied by an unknown number of children born to amnesty recipients who then acquired automatic U.S. citizenship.

All of these amnesties, on top of uncontrolled mass migration of legal immigrants, aren’t just turning California and Virginia and Texas blue. They are turning all of America blue. Every American should be seeing red about it and raising their voice against the coming, unforgivable betrayal of the MAGA doctrine. This isn’t making American great again. It’s making America disappear.

What part of “NO AMNESTY” doesn’t D.C. understand?

Missing Marizela: Nine years

I still remember the moment like it was yesterday when my family contacted me in a panic to let me know that my cousin and goddaughter, Marizela “EmEm” Perez, had gone missing.

It’s the text you get in the middle of the night that doesn’t seem real. That was nine years ago today when EmEm vanished from the University of Washington campus in the middle of the afternoon walking away from a Safeway grocery story.

Nine years.

Once again, I must report that there is still no news on her whereabouts. Nothing. Last summer, I finally received some documents in reply to a public records request about her case. But nothing in the file shed light on any potential investigative leads. I have heard from a few true-crime podcasters that they are interested in following up and hope to get in contact with them soon.

The Charley Project maintains a page on Marizela’s case here.

Some photos:

Here’s Marizela’s missing person flyer:

Here are videos of her last known whereabouts:

The organization called NAMUS is a national information clearinghouse and resource center for missing, unidentified, and unclaimed person cases across the United States: “Over 600,000 individuals go missing in the United States every year. Fortunately, many missing children and adults are quickly found, alive and well. However, tens of thousands of individuals remain missing for more than one year – what many agencies consider ‘cold cases.’ It is estimated that 4,400 unidentified bodies are recovered each year, with approximately 1,000 of those bodies remaining unidentified after one year.” Marizela is one of thousands of missing persons in the NAMUS database.

If you live in the Washington area and have any relevant information, please contact the Seattle Police Department at 206-684-5582.

As some of you may remember, EmEm had a tattoo on her forearm with a Tagalog phrase: “Lahat ay magiging maayos” (meaning “all will be well”) on the inside of her left arm.

Please keep her parents in your prayers, as well as all parents of missing loved ones who live every day with the unfathomable dread of waking up every morning of not knowing.

Parents’ Anti-Drag Queen Hour Resistance Rises

Parents’ Anti-Drag Queen Hour Resistance Rises

The Boy Scouts of America filed for bankruptcy this week amid a deluge of sex-abuse lawsuits. The Catholic clergy’s pedophilia conspiracies have cost the church more than $3 billion and countless followers. Scandal after scandal shows how cunning child predators have exploited trusted civic institutions under cover of “diversity,” “inclusion” and “progressivism.”

Now more than ever, parents across the country are rising up to protect their local public schools and public libraries from turning into the next pedo playgrounds that will steal innocence, ruin lives, ravage communities and impose mind-boggling costs on taxpayers. It’s a grassroots movement whose leaders have been demonized by both left-wing smear merchants at the Southern Poverty Law Center (which likens resistant parents to “neo-Nazis”) and marginalized by GOP Beltway elitists who run the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (which banned the top anti-drag queen hour activist group in 2018 for fully embracing a true “culture war” against transvestite and transsexual forces hijacking the schools). has been on the forefront of fighting back and stopping Drag Queen Story Hour programs all over the country,” the group’s director Arthur Schaper told me this week. “Our activists have uncovered the lurid sites and social media they promote, and we have exposed that a number of them have criminal backgrounds, including two sex offenders who had assaulted minors! These are hardly role models, contrary to what the Drag Queen Story Hour website claims.” Through local community organizing, investigative work and social media leveraging, MassResistance is making a difference.

Here’s what you must understand: Social justice rainbow warriors didn’t accomplish the metastasis of Drag Queen Story Hours in public schools and libraries on their own. Capitulationist “conservatives” and libertarians, who prioritize virtue signaling over safety, joined forces with trans militants to promote blind acceptance of sexual perversity masquerading as “diversity” and marketed to toddlers and elementary school students. Turning Point USA, the leading youth conservative organization, features drag queens and rainbow advocates at campus events. National Review writer David French, now a featured speaker on the Young America’s Foundation campus circuit, told the New Yorker: “The fact that a person can get a room in a library and hold a Drag Queen Story Hour and get people to come? That’s one of the blessings of liberty.”

Unlike the DQL (Drag Queen Lobby) on both sides of the political spectrum, parental sovereignty soldiers in the heartland have all the right enemies because they answer to only one special interest: our kids.

In Columbus, Ohio this week, protesters shut down a planned “Disney-themed” drag queen story hour at Clinton Elementary School.

In Chula Vista, California, vigilant parents filed public information requests revealing deception by City Councilmember Steve Padilla and Mayor Mary Salas, who falsely asserted at a council meeting that drag queens in the schools are subjected to full vetting and background checks. MassResistance released documents this week from the city clerk admitting that no criminal background checks were conducted by police on two drag queens, “Raquelita” and “Barbie Q,” before they performed at a public library in front of 300 schoolchildren last September. The records exposed that “the City does not require background checks for any of its performers as they only work with staff for less than twenty hours and the city has a standing policy that they are considered episodic volunteers and do not require a background check.”

During their day jobs, the two performers defended by Salas and Padilla call themselves “The Hottest Exxotics” and promote gay bar hookups with young-looking men called “twinks.”

In Missouri, state Republican legislator Ben Baker has introduced a bill to bar drag queens from presenting age-inappropriate sexual material to young kids at public libraries.

In Texas, MassResistance chapter chair Tracy Shannon and other parents helped uncover two registered sex offenders performing as drag queens in the Houston public library system last year. One had been convicted of assaulting an 8-year-old boy. The other, a transgender porn star, had been convicted of multiple sexual assaults against four young children (ages 4, 5, 6 and 8). Texas MassResistance parents also exposed a third registered sex offender last summer operating in Austin elementary schools as “Miss Kitty Litter,” who had been convicted of male prostitution. The local government-subsidized librarian had been warned in advance by the drag queen that he would fail a criminal background check. The event was scheduled anyway with reckless disregard for the children’s safety.

Parent resisters were maligned as bigots by Texas officials, who mocked their faith and concerns. Gay Houston city councilman Mike Laster sneered: “What are you afraid of?”

Ask the families suing the Boy Scouts and Catholic dioceses across the country and around the world. Resist now, parents, or regret when it’s too late.

Tyranny of the Tamiflu-natics

Tyranny of the Tamiflu-natics

Beware of clickbait character assassins masquerading as “journalists.”

This is a lesson America should have learned after the mass media defamation of the Covington Catholic schoolboys last year. Just a few weeks ago, innocent teenager Nick Sandmann won a multimillion-dollar settlement against CNN for leaping to conclusions and attempting to ruin his life in pursuit of a political agenda driven by confirmation bias. The Washington Post and NBC News face similar lawsuits for potential damages totaling more than a half-billion dollars.

False allegations have consequences. And yet, here we are again.

In Colorado last week, a young family was hurled into a national firestorm created by a single, powerful NBC News vigilante with an ideological ax to grind. “Investigative reporter” Brandy Zadrozny, right, lit the fuse on Feb. 6 with a Twitter post announcing that a 4-year-old had died of the flu. According to the Centers for Disease Control, an estimated 10,000 Americans (including nearly 70 children) have died of the flu this season. So what made this Colorado toddler’s tragic death newsworthy?

The NBC News journalist condemned the boy’s mom for having reached out to a Facebook health-centered parents’ group whose members recommended that she not give her child Tamiflu medicine that a pediatrician had prescribed. Some commenters on the group had advised home remedies, including essential oils and vitamin C. Zadrozny linked to her incendiary hit piece on the mom and the “Stop Mandatory Vaccination” Facebook group, which was titled: “On Facebook, anti-vaxxers urged a mom not to give her son Tamiflu. He later died.”

The toxic inference is clear: “Anti-vaxxers” are guilty of spreading online “misinformation” that led the mom to withhold a purportedly life-saving modern medicine—and Facebook is guilty for not stopping it.

Zadrozny is a self-anointed and self-appointed social media policewoman whose main focus is pressuring Facebook to shut down discussion groups she doesn’t like. She labels all vaccine skeptics as conspiracy theorists without refuting facts or responding to peer-reviewed journal citations and historical data. She uses her bully pulpit to harangue Facebook into censoring laypeople seeking alternatives to “mainstream” medicine.

Zadrozny quoted “experts” fretting about parents who discuss their objections to coercive mandates and missives of Big Pharma and Big Government. Her article sneered at “natural remedies.” The magic words “anti-vaxx” triggered the Two Minutes Hate theater that sent “Tamiflu” trending on Twitter.

The nicer messages called for the boy’s grieving mom to be arrested and imprisoned. Many advocated that she die, including one Twitter warrior who wrote that since “she’s an anti-vaxxer, lethal injection would be appropriate” and another who fumed that “she and everybody in that (Facebook) group should get the death penalty.” User Ann raged that the mother should “go to prison.”

User Hayden chimed in: “She clearly should be executed, as should the person who posted the nonsense on FB, as well as anyone who liked said nonsense, ALL EXECUTED!!”

Zadrozny’s inciting tweet now has nearly 40,000 retweets, 5,000 comments and 72,000 likes.

Lost in all of these crazed point-and-sputter diatribes were some pertinent, pesky facts.

“Investigative reporter” Zadrozny never actually interviewed the parents, Geneva Montoya and Najee Jackson Sr., and relied solely on the Facebook postings and information from their GoFundMe page without independently discovering whether they had changed course after Montoya had commented to the Facebook group. Nor did she independently verify whether the parents were “anti-vaxx” or what vaccines besides the controversial flu vaccine (whose effectiveness has been challenged worldwide by health officials) they had chosen to avoid. A local television station, however, did the reporting Zadrozny failed to do.

It turns out the entire family, except for 4-year-old Najee Jr., had been suffering from influenza B. A 10-month-old brother who had been running a high fever had been seen at my neighborhood Children’s Hospital in Colorado Springs the afternoon before Najee Jr. fell ill. Montoya told Fox31 TV in Colorado Springs: “We called the doctors. We called the hospital. We gave them the medicine we were instructed to give. We did everything.”

Those who have already prejudged the mom respond that she must be lying. What if she is telling the truth? And why hadn’t Zadrozny updated her story as of Feb. 11? I asked the online social media monitor that question publicly on Twitter, but she failed to respond by my deadline.

More to the point, it’s quackery to suggest that Tamiflu would have saved Najee Jr.’s life. The respected Cochrane researchers in Britain have concluded there is no evidence the medicine reduces mortality or hospitalizations. In 2006, the FDA updated the Tamiflu label indicating that it could cause psychiatric problems. Japan banned Tamiflu for teenagers amid concerns about deleterious side effects.

Just days before Zadrozny crucified Najee Jr’s family, a Denver mom publicly warned that her 8-year-old daughter suffered hallucinations from Tamiflu. Earlier this week, a 16-year-old girl in Leesburg, Va. with the flu died of cardiac arrest. She had been prescribed Tamiflu. Another 16-year-old in Ohio died of the flu last month after suffering a stroke. She, too, had been prescribed Tamiflu.

Their cases didn’t make NBC News headlines, because they don’t fit the dissent-squelching narrative. Tamiflunatics, vaccine bullies and their media gatekeepers spread misinformation that destroys lives. They are the true public health threats.

Dirty little secret about Democrats’ “New Way Forward Act:” Open-borders Utah Republicans already passed it!

Tucker Carlson at Fox News has done heroic work trying to get Americans to wake up to a monstrous campaign in Congress to decriminalize border trespassing, reward criminal aliens, and sabotage what’s left of our already crippled deportation system. As he reported last week, the New Way Forward Act would break the so-called “prison to deportation pipeline” by eliminating all categories of crime that previously qualified illegals and non-citizens for automatic deportation.

“Under current U.S. law,” he told viewers, “legal U.S. immigrants can be deported if they commit an ‘aggravated felony’ or a ‘crime of moral turpitude’ – that is, a vile, depraved act, like molesting a child. Under the New Way Forward Act, ‘crimes of moral turpitude’ are eliminated entirely as a justification for deportation. And the category of ‘aggravated felony’ gets circumscribed too. What does that mean? Consider this: Under current law, immigrants who commit serious crimes – such as robbery, fraud, or child sexual abuse – must be deported, regardless of the sentence they receive. Other crimes – less severe ones like racketeering – require deportation as long as the perpetrator receives at least a one-year sentence. But if this bill passes the House and Senate and is signed into law by the president, there will no longer be any crimes that automatically require deportation. None.”

Here’s the thing. While 44 Congressional Democrats are now under much-deserved scrutiny for their support of this extreme measure, open-borders Utah Republicans already passed similar immigration decriminalization “reforms” into state law (HB 244) last year–with the praise and approval of the American Civil Liberties Union:

“Utah is known for its red rock canyons, steep ski slopes, and a mega-majority Republican legislature. And now it can be recognized as one of just a handful of states to pass legislation that helps noncitizens avoid deportation if they are convicted of a misdemeanor.

The bill, which was signed into law by Gov. Gary Herbert on March 25, clarifies that misdemeanor convictions in Utah can no longer be interpreted as aggravated felonies for immigration purposes, avoiding automatic deportation for a crime as simple as shop-lifting. To make this happen, the bill reduces the maximum possible sentence for misdemeanors in Utah by a single day — from 365 days to 364 days. In an era when lawmakers often pass splashy message bills that create little impact, the new law is just the opposite — a nuanced piece of legislation that spans the twin chasms of criminal justice and immigration reform, while improving the lives of thousands of Utah residents.

We now join states such as Nevada, California, and Washington that have passed so-called 364-day laws, with the goal of reducing the immigration consequences of convictions for noncitizens. But Utah is one of the few Republican-led states to make this change. Utah also surprisingly reached the finish line ahead of both Colorado and New York, two states that adopted similar protections in March.

The explicit goal of the bill’s supporters was to circumvent federal law. Here’s the open-borders group “Familia America” spiking the football:

Utah Governor Gary Herbert signed HB 244 into law in late March in what is seen as a step toward immigration reform in the state. HB 244 puts an end to misdemeanor convictions being interpreted as aggravated felonies for noncitizens. This helps those accused of crimes that are petty as shoplifting to avoid automatic deportation. HB 244 accomplishes its purpose by reducing the maximum possible misdemeanor sentence in the state by one day—to 364 days instead of 365, allowing circumvention of a federal immigration law that treats state misdemeanors as felonies when the potential sentence for the offender is one year or more.

It’s bad enough that Utah voters gave us traitorous snake Mitt Romney, Indian green card pimp Sen. Mike Lee, and previous open-borders Chamber of Commerce stooges Bob Bennett, shamnesty shill Chris Cannon, and Jon McCain Huntsman. But Utah voters also elected a governor and legislature that unanimously adopted this law for immigration outlaws. As the ACLU crowed:

Despite some indications that prosecutors would oppose the bill in Utah, no resistance materialized to the bill as it passed both chambers by unanimous votes.

Here are the Utah bill sponsors (State Rep. Eric Hutchings, State Sen. Daniel Thatcher, and staff responsible for coddling illegal alien criminals and paving a path for “Way Forward” leftists:

Utah Gov. Gary Herbert is one of the 18 Republican refugee resettlement racket governors who betrayed American citizens seeking to exercise local control over who gets dumped in their backywards.

So you will not be shocked to learn that it was Republican refugee racketeers who were behind the “Way Forward” bill in Utah:

The idea for the bill originated with the Refugee Justice League, a group of over 700 attorneys who volunteer their time to help refugees who are discriminated against. Co-founder James McConkie said Hutchings’ bill is the Utah-based organization’s first priority during this year’s legislative session.

McConkie said the current conflict in the law is especially damaging to refugees, who can be automatically deported for crimes as simple as joyriding. This often removes a father from the home, he said, and leaves a family struggling to make ends meet. Or young people, he said, can be deported and separated from their families because of minor crimes. And when refugees are sent out of the country, McConkie said their lives are on the line because of how dangerous their home countries are.

Never mind the dangers that criminal refugees are bringing to our country!

Here are the Utah members of the Refugee Justice League that pushed the state’s “Way Forward” decriminalization of criminal aliens:

The “Way Forward” coalition of Open Borders Inc. Democrats and Republicans have linked the Utah effort with the national bill sponsored by Illinois Democrat Jesus Garcia. Here’s how one left-wing cheerleader put it:

Earlier this year in Utah, a Republican governor and legislature passed a bill to reduce the maximum sentence for a misdemeanor by one day—from 365 days to 364. The singular point of that tiny change was to exploit a legal loophole so that wide swaths of immigrant defendants could be shielded from automatic deportation for misdemeanors. (Under one of Clinton’s laws, crimes punishable by 365 days or more in prison trigger automatic deportation.) Prosecutors in New York State endorsed a similar bill, which was enacted in April.

In other words, the “New Way Forward” is repackaged community organizing that has been aimed for decades at repealing the 1996 Clinton-era Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act (IIRAIRA), which agitators blame on “mass incarceration” of illegal and criminal aliens. “Fix 96” is a hobby horse of the Soros Left, led by the Immigrant Defense Project and Immigrant Justice Network collaboration between IDP, illegal alien sanctuary-promoting Immigrant Legal Resource Center, and National Immigration Project of the Communist Party member-founded, Soros-funded National Lawyers Guild.

Here are the national promoters of “Way Forward” on the Left, the majority of which are non-profit, tax exempt “charities” that will be familiar to Open Borders Inc. readers. At least of the promoters is the tax-subsidized refugee resettlement contractor Church World Service. There’s also the George Clooney-supported Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights, Muslim grievance groups CAIR and MPAC, assorted Catholic social justice warriors, and the National Education Association. Quite the anti-American squad, aren’t they?

What Will It Take to Stop Google’s Kiddie Predators?

How much more evidence do we need to compile before the federal government protects our children and fully deplatforms Google from American public schools?

The Silicon Valley behemoth has already admitted it illegally collected children’s personal information on YouTube without parental consent, mines students’ browsing habits and emails, and tracks kids’ locations, audio and search history through Google educational apps and logons that are required for millions of students to participate in public schools.

Well, there’s more. Much more. Let us review the most recent alarming disclosures that expose grave public health and safety threats posed by the near-trillion-dollar company with its tentacles tightly wrapped around our kids’ eyeballs, brains and behavioral data.

This week, the tech giant admitted for the first time that its data export service, Google Takeout, had accidentally sent the private information and videos of untold thousands of users to other strangers’ accounts. The breach occurred in late November, but users only started receiving notices and apologies on Monday — nearly three months later.

“We are notifying people about a bug that may have affected users who used Google Takeout to export their Google Photos content between November 21 and November 25,” an email sheepishly explained. “These users may have received either an incomplete archive, or videos — not photos — that were not theirs. We fixed the underlying issue and have conducted an in-depth analysis to help prevent this from ever happening again. We are very sorry this happened.”

Can you imagine a similar breach of minors’ photos and videos stored on students’ Google Drives or Chromebooks or smartphones or home computers used to log on to mandatory learning management systems integrated with Google, such as Canvas or Schoology or Blackboard? It’s easy if you try.

Will “upsy-daisy” suffice when schoolkids’ pictures, embedded with geolocation data, end up on a friendly neighborhood registered sex offender’s Google Photos album?

Two months ago, The Wall Street Journal reported that Google had secretly harvested “tens of millions of medical records” with identifying names, lab results, diagnoses, immunization records and prescriptions from thousands of hospitals across 21 states. “Project Nightingale” was a partnership with Ascension health system to build a search tool and data analytics using machine-learning algorithms. At least 150 Google employees had access to confidential patient data. Amazon, Microsoft and IBM have acquired private health data as well. It’s a massive Big Tech bonanza.

The implications for selling off children’s private health information are chilling. Like federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act protections for patients, federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act protections have been sabotaged by “public-private partnerships” between government education officials and tech companies with insatiable appetites for data.

Will “trust us” cut it when Google gets access to your kids’ school-based health records?

Meet “Gaggle.” Fully integrated with Google Apps for Education and designated as a Google “Premier Partner,” this snooping system is marketed to school districts as a “safety” mechanism for students. Through 24/7 monitoring of kids’ online use, Gaggle “alerts school officials when students show signs of self-harm, depression, thoughts of suicide, substance abuse, cyberbullying, unhealthy relationships, and credible threats of violence against others.”

Privacy experts for a pro-digital learning nonprofit called Common Sense determined that it is “unclear” whether Gaggle “allows users to control how their data are displayed,” “whether this product allows parents to withdraw consent for the further collection of their child’s information” and “whether this product provides parental consent notice.”

Despite all of that uncertainty, 1,400 school districts use Gaggle to mine “social media, browsing history, email, homework documents, uploads, chats, pictures, and calendars” — and put untold tens of thousands of students at risk of privacy breaches that could do damage for a lifetime.

Last spring, Google reported at an education conference that it had started making its cloud platform program accessible to K-12 school districts. Evergreen, Washington, public schools chief Derrick Brown bragged about his district’s data-mining pilot program with Google. “We have tons of data in our school districts,” he is quoted outlining in Education Week, citing information gathered through “student information systems, instructional software programs, online surveys of children’s social-emotional well-being, and special-needs students’ individualized education plans.”

“All that data needs to go in a container,” Brown explained. And that container will be Google Cloud Platform. Now, imagine questionnaires and tests stored in the G-container measuring “social-emotional well-being” of children and their families according to politically correct ideology. Imagine being a parent who objects to mandatory vaccine laws or who holds “America first” views deemed “extremist” and “hateful” or who stores guns responsibly in your home — information that is not the business of a school district or Silicon Valley giant. Where’s the protection for such families? What’s the academic justification for gathering it?

Brown hasn’t bothered to figure out yet how parents will be able to maintain control over the data or contemplating privacy concerns. Why bother? It’s free!

What possible academic benefits could outweigh the real harm posed by school officials’ addiction to “free” Google services? Understand this before it’s too late: When the educational products are “free,” it’s our children who are the products — or the prey.

Red China’s infection of American classrooms

Dangerous menaces are spreading from mainland China to the United States. Surgical masks and Big Pharma vaccines, however, won’t protect this nation from its infiltration. The problem doesn’t lie with bats. It lies with America’s batty pursuit of globalization at all costs.

Chinese Communist Party agents are using our suicidal pathologies — blind worship of “diversity,” naive exaltation of “cultural exchange” programs, and reckless surrender of our education system — against us for economic espionage, intellectual property theft and world dominance. While Beltway blowhards rail against foreign interference in our elections, Beijing’s hijacking of our classrooms ensues with hardly a peep of political resistance.

On Monday, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston announced that the chairman of Harvard University’s Chemistry and Chemical Biology Department, along with two Chinese nationals, have been “charged in connection with aiding the People’s Republic of China.” Acclaimed Harvard chemist and nanoscientist, Dr. Charles Lieber, had served as a “strategic scientist” at Wuhan University of Technology for the past nine years and is accused of lying about his role as a “contractual participant” of China’s infamous Thousand Talents Plan.

Last fall, after years of intel warnings, a bipartisan Senate committee blew the whistle on TTP’s systematic recruitment of an estimated 7,000 academics who have agreed to “transmit the knowledge and research they gain here to China in exchange for salaries, research funding, lab space, and other incentives.” Lieber reportedly received $50,000 a month plus living expenses and more than $1.5 million for a Chinese research lab, all while soaking up $15 million in federal grants from the National Institutes of Health and Defense Department.

It is unknown how many Chinese nationals worked in either Lieber’s America-based or China-based labs. But the two Chinese nationals charged with Lieber were cancer researcher Zaosong Zheng, 29, whom Harvard sponsored on a J-1 work-study exchange visa and Yanqing Ye, 29, whom Boston University sponsored on a J-1. Prosecutors allege Ye is a CCP member and top military lieutenant. Zheng is accused of attempting to smuggle “21 vials of biological research” aboard a flight destined for China.

Those are just a few who got caught. In 2018-2019, China sent the most international students from around the world (369,548 out of nearly 1.1 million) to study in U.S. institutions. More than 71,000 Chinese students headed to Massachusetts; 6,222 of them embedded at Harvard and 10,598 of them enrolled at Boston University. Those figures don’t include their spouses and children, who are also welcomed through their own special visa programs. (And the national security risks of the untold tens of thousands of Chinese nationals on the H-1B tech worker visa is a whole ‘nuther story.)

China has cunningly exploited America’s alphabet soup of temporary visa programs, which are overwhelmed by out-of-control mass migration and are operated by open borders ideologues who put the alleged economic benefits of admitting 1 million international students into the country every year over the national security risks. Top administrators at Harvard and other prestigious universities have continually denounced the Trump administration for increasing vetting of foreign student visas and inconveniencing their wealthy clientele.

But mum’s the word on the treachery taking place under the guise of “cultural” enrichment:

–Last July, the FBI indicted Chinese F-1 student visa beneficiary Weiyun “Kelly” Huang in an alleged visa fraud scheme that allowed more than 2,500 Chinese foreign students on F-1 — including a purported spy for the Chinese government — to extend their stays by claiming employment with a phony internet front she created. The ruse allowed the scammers to take advantage of the uncapped Optional Practical Training program allowing F-1s to stay an extra three years to work. Ji Chaoqun, an F-1 who received a master’s degree in electrical engineering in 2015 from an unspecified U.S. university, paid for Huang’s services and was arrested in 2018 for alleged spying and recruitment of academics and engineers under the direction of the People’s Republic of China.

–In September, the FBI arrested Chinese national Zhongsan Liu in New Jersey for operating a fraudulent J-1 visa racket that imported PRC operatives to staff a New York front group recruiting scientists, academics and engineers to work in China. Liu targeted seven American universities for the scheme, including the University of Massachusetts Boston.

–Just last week, the University of Missouri at Columbia announced it was terminating its partnership with a Chinese government-funded language and cultural program called the Confucius Institute amid widespread national security concerns. The Institute’s teachers were pouring into local K-12 schools through the J-1 visa program unsupervised. The U.S. Government Accountability Office identified more than 500 “Confucius Institutes” worldwide, with 96 located at colleges and universities in the United States as of December 2018 — the vast majority of them publicly funded institutions. A PRC propaganda outfit called Hanban has provided funding ranging from $900,000 to $1.7 million for “model” Confucius Institutes.

While several universities have closed their programs, several Chinese language charter schools and entire school districts, including K-12 public schools in Broward County, Florida, Houston and Seattle, operate “Confucius Classrooms” approved and co-operated with the Chinese government.

Where’s a nationwide public health emergency declaration when you need one?

Cancel culture strikes again: Banned in Maine

Cancel culture strikes again: Banned in Maine
by Michelle Malkin

In November, I was banned in Boston after speech-squelchers on the left and right forced the cancellation of my lecture at Bentley University, a small private institution. The grassroots activists who had invited me were rejected by every major event venue in the nation’s purported Cradle of Liberty. The tail-tuckers cited security concerns or jacked up their rental fees to make it prohibitively expensive to gather peacefully to discuss—gasp!—ideas.

Lou Murray of Bostonians Against Sanctuary Cities and Jessica Vaughan of the Center for Immigration Studies heroically persisted, pulling together a great event at a private home attended by 100 patriots who risked their privacy, friendships and even their jobs to listen to—gasp!—ideas. (Watch the video here.)

Soon after, a group of conservative students at the University of Maine, a publicly funded school, invited me to bring my nationalist message about who’s funding the destruction of America to their campus. This prompted the College Republicans’ faculty adviser, political science professor Amy Fried to resign in protest. That led to the de-chartering of the CR group. Why? Because I refused to disavow other young students who have asked trenchant, pesky questions at Young America’s Foundation and Turning Point USA lectures about the GOP elites’ support of wage-suppressing, job-outsourcing, Democrat voter-importing policies that put American students, workers and families last.

Many of those students follow a 21-year-old nationalist named Nick Fuentes who hosts a program (for now) on YouTube and DLive in his basement called “America First.” Because I refused to play the gatekeepers’ game of condemning every last joke or chatroom comment or tweet of someone followed by students whose questions I support, Fried believes that no students at her campus under her watch should be allowed to hear what I have to say about, well, anything.

How strongly do University of Maine officials oppose the free association of college students who want to know more about my work? Yesterday, I learned from Portland Sheraton at Sable Oaks general manager Ed Palmer and others that at least one University of Maine official—along with dozens of others cancel culture jihadists galvanized on social media by an anonymous Twitter account called “Support Maine’s Future”—had called to complain about the students and me after they posted an event notice last Friday. I reached out to top administrators, who did not respond by my filing deadline.

I also wrote to Fried, who responded late Tuesday evening: “I never did that. Didn’t happen. Whoever told you I did is incorrect. Thank you for checking, as you received a false report regarding me.”

I responded: “Too bad you didn’t pay me the same courtesy.”

Adrienne Bennett, a Republican candidate for U.S. Congress (Maine, District 2), challenged the school’s bullying tactics: “Free speech is the cornerstone of a free democracy. We are hearing reports that administrators from the University of Maine pressured a private Maine hotel to cancel an appearance by conservative speaker Michelle Malkin. If true, this is a disturbing development from Maine’s public, land-grant university,” she blasted. “All universities—but especially those that receive public funds—have an obligation to foster free speech and free inquiry. I support President Trump’s recent executive order on campus free speech. … I am disturbed that academic elites would interfere to block this speech. For those who disagree with Malkin’s views, the answer is debate and discourse, not censorship.”

My upcoming speaking schedule (for now) includes the New York Young Republican Club (Jan. 16); somewhere, hopefully, in Maine (Jan. 17); Liberty Forum of Silicon Valley (Feb. 11); Michigan Conservative Coalition’s Battle Cry 2020, Troy, Michigan (Feb. 14); Arizona State University (Feb. 26); and San Diego State University (April TBD).

A total of six organizations have now deemed me such a public menace that I’ve been barred from speaking at their venues or events: Mar-a-Lago (canceled by the Trump Organization after complaints by the Southern Poverty Law Center spread by left-wingers at the Miami Herald); Bentley University; the University of Minnesota (canceled at the behest of national leaders of the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow); the New Jersey Right to Life Committee; an Indiana conservative group; and Young America’s Foundation.

Why is this censorship campaign from both sides of the political spectrum happening? University of Maine College Republican Jeremiah Childs astutely observed: “They’re doing this to delegitimize us because we’re popular.” Popular, peacefully expressed ideas that threaten establishment empires in both parties must be stopped. The pretense of free inquiry and association must be propped up by the tolerance hypocrites on the left and the culture warrior poseurs on the right. The illusion of “free speech” must be maintained by the keepers of the gate. Lying is lucrative. Telling the truth, controlled by no one, only gets you grief.
