The following is an excerpt from Blaze Media’s Capitol Hill Brief email newsletter:

We’ve got a busy week ahead of us on Capitol Hill.

After the House Judiciary Committee passed two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on Friday, the full House is expected to vote on impeachment this week before leaving for Christmas break.

But while many are distracted by the impeachment drama this week, lawmakers will have more cover than usual to join hands and pass a massive spending bill with far less public scrutiny than usual.
