Antonio Brown – who the Patriots cut earlier this season after just one game amid sexual assault allegations – made it known on Twitter that New England’s sputtering offense could use him.
“Rt to put AB in this game,” Brown tweeted Sunday night with the Patriots down 21-9 to the Texans in the fourth quarter.
Minutes later he posted a video of his lone touchdown as a Patriot, with the “Christmas tree” emoji.
Despite winning its previous two games, the Patriots have scored just a combined 30 points and even saw Tom Brady voice his displeasure with the offense’s production.
But a Brown-Patriots reunion seems unlikely even as Brown has voiced his desires to return to the defending Super Bowl champs and Patriots coaches and players, according to CBS, would welcome him back.
That’s because it’s up to owner Robert Kraft, who Brown criticized on Twitter following his release.
Brown currently is countersuing his former female trainer who claimed in a civil suit that the 31-year-old raped her on three separate occasions.
